Make a tax-smart gift through your Donor-Advised Fund and help Think Education create lasting impact for California students with innovative solutions for public education. Your DAF contribution maximizes impact while aligning with your charitable giving strategy.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a tax-efficient way to make a charitable donation. A DAF allows you to give cash, stock and other assets to a charitable fund, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants to Think Education from the fund over time. Think Education gratefully accepts grants from DAFs in support of their mission to partner with schools to change the odds for kids, so students can have all of life’s opportunities available in their future. We partner with some of the largest DAF sponsor organizations and their philanthropic service teams in the United States.
We’ve made it easy to initiate your grant recommendation.
Clients of any donor-advised fund (DAF) can designate a gift to Think Education through the DAF Direct window on this page, or simply provide your DAF sponsor with the following information: Organization Name: Think Education Tax ID / EIN: 33-0781751
If you need assistance working with your DAF to make your gift, we are happy to help! Please contact us now and we’ll guide you.

Maximize the impact of appreciated assets, avoiding capital gains taxes.

Most sponsors let you choose whether your grants are anonymous or include your contact information. You can usually include a special purpose (e.g., “for general support” or “in honor of…”) which the DAF sponsor will pass along with the grant recommendation.
You can typically give cash, checks, wire transfers, appreciated securities (stocks, bonds), mutual funds, ETFs, and in many cases complex or non‑cash assets, such as privately held shares or even some cryptocurrencies (depending on the sponsor).
